- Easy Path to Good Math (2017)
Elin Natås grew up experiencing severe learning difficulties, and did not learn to read, write or understand math until she was in her late thirties. She now works as a special educator and private tutor, and with remarkable results. She has for more than 25 years helped students of all ages who struggle to learn, using the same method she was rescued by herself. Elin has her training from the University of Oslo and Institute for Applied Pedagogics (INAP). She is one of Norway´s leading authorities on the pedagogical model “Basic concept teaching” (developed by professor Magne Nyborg and special educator Ragnhild Nyborg). Her daily office is with “The Centre for Better Learning” in Oslo.
AnneLene Johnsen is the math whiz who solved math problems in her spare time just for fun. Today the former Mensa president is a known columnist within mental health and educational aspects, has authored several mind gym books, and spend most of her career teaching and writing about what it takes to make our minds work most efficiently – including having testet her skills as a high school math teacher. AnneLene has a Master of Business and Management-degree, a BA in psychology, and have studied cognitive neuroscience and sosial psychology on master- and PhD-level. She is the owner of The BrainFactory where she arranges courses for parents and teachers on how to learn and make the best out of our brains. Her most recent book, Hvordan fatte matte (together with Elin Natås) is currently high on Norwegian best seller lists and sold to many foreign markets.
