Ingunn Birkeland

Ingunn Birkeland is a designer from Oslo who is known for her unique, colorful interlacement patterns. She has a very special flair for combining colors, lines, shapes and materials.
She is a trained clothing designer from the Norwegian School of Crafts and Design (today KHiO). After completing her master’s degree (MA) at the Department of Clothing and Costumes in 2005, she established the brand INGUNN BIRKELAND OSLO (IBO). She is known for her characteristic braids and grid patterns, in a carefully composed and balanced color palette.
