Kurt Aust

Kurt Aust (b. 1955) grew up in Denmark, but has lived in Norway since 1982. His literary debut was the well acclaimed crime novel VREDENS DAG (Day of Wrath) in 1999, the first title in a series of historical crime novels set in 18th Century Denmark. For the third title in the series, HJEMSØKT (Haunted) in 2003, Aust won both The Riverton Prize (for best Norwegian crime novel) and the Glass Key Award for best Nordic Crime fiction. Aust has been shortlisted to The Riverton Prize for two more titles in the same crime fiction series. In 2015 he wrote the Tour de France-thriller DØDT LØP. His novels have been translated to several languages such as German, Spanish and French.
