Inger Merete Hobbelstad

Inger Merete Hobbelstad (b. 1980) is a Norwegian cultural journalist and author. She has worked as cultural commentator at NRK (Norwegian National Broadcasting) since 2022. Hobbelstad is from Hokksund in Buskerud. She has a master’s degree in literary studies with a thesis on Homer’s Iliad. She worked for several years as a freelance cultural journalist, theatre- and film reviewer at Dagbladet and later on as commentator in the same newspaper. Inger Merete Hobbelstad has written several books, both adult non-fiction and books for YA-readers and children.
