Germany’s diverse soils are reflected in Riesling’s uniquely broad and rich flavor spectrum. There is no food that a good Riesling cannot go wll together with. The grape deserves that many more people get to know it.
That is why Walter Kieliger (manager at Frognerseteren restaurant), Merete Bø (wine expert in Dagens Næringsliv) and photographer Sune Eriksen wanted to create this book.
They take us on a journey through five of Germany’s most famous wine regions: MOSEL, RHEINGAU, RHEINHESSEN, PFALZ and NAHE. With good wine comes wit, harmony and friendship.
We meet the landscape, the wine, the culture and the producers. These convey with conviction that wine is science and wine is passion. Wine is hard work, and wine is the greatest joy!
