Children's Knitwear from the Cultures of the North

Knitting patterns for children from 1 -14 yrs inspired by the rich Kven and Sami cultural heritage and the beautiful natur of the north.

We’re happy to introduce yet another beautiful book by Christina Gjertsen, this time focusing on knitwear for children. The garments are knitted in clear and fresh colors in both thick and thin wool yarn, garments perfect for both outdoor life and for keeping warm indoors during the cold winter season.

The author’s family background and the breathtaking nature of Finnmark have been sources of inspiration for all the knitting patterns in the book. In this new title, the most popular patterns and other designs from her previous book Knitwear from the Cultures of the North, can be found as children’s garments. Clear and simple explanations follow with the patterns and make them easy to knit.
