Insects in my garden is a book about the wonderful variety of insects you can discover just outside your own house.

In an ordinary garden you can find hundreds of different insects. Some live there all their life. Others migrate like birds, and cross land and sea to visit your garden.

Andreas Tjernshaugen wanted to investigate which insects lived in his own garden, and found many more than he expected. Over four years, the author has discovered more than five hundred species, and new ones keep popping up.The insects are almost unimaginably diverse. More than half of all known species are insects, and the garden is a great place to get to know the bumblebees, butterflies and all the others. Tjernshaugen’ book is an invitation to go out and see for yourself, and a guide for anyone who is curious about what crawls, wriggles and flies in the garden.
