Winter has blown in over the small island of Åstol on the west coast of Sweden and everyone starts preparing for Christmas.

Donna has finally taken root properly on the island. She has just completed her first art exhibition, and also joined the planning group for the upcoming Christmas market. Everything seems to be peace and joy.

When Lars, the son of the owners of the island’s guesthouse, returns after many years of absence, the newfound harmony is disturbed.
